Our Team

We invite you to get to know us better.

Westwood's success is largely due to its dedicated team of leaders, who spend their days fostering an environment where expectations are not just met, but exceeded. We believe in the power of positivity, leading by example, and treating each other more like family than just colleagues.

What the kitchen means to me:

I come from a large family of five siblings, so the kitchen was always the place to convene at meals and find out what had gone on in everyone’s day. As my wife and I grew our own family with our busy lives, it continued to be the place to convene with family and friends. It is the central part of our home and lives.

I’m drawn to modern kitchens with high functionality and simple, streamlined designs.  Open concept is also important and therefore the kitchen needs to seamlessly blend with the surrounding furniture and décor.

A little more about Peter C:

My wife and I are originally from the Toronto area. We have three active kids, well, young adults, across the country. After living in Saskatchewan for several years we have now found our home in Kelowna.

I have successfully grown several small to mid-sized companies with my background in both engineering and business management, all with a focus on quality and the customer.

What the kitchen means to me:

The kitchen is a place for socializing, preparing food together, hanging out and making memories. I love a contemporary, user-friendly kitchen with fully-integrated appliances.

A little more about Peter K:

I’ve been married for almost twenty-one years and have two beautiful daughters. Both are getting ready for University, so we will soon be empty-nesters. Our family moved here from Holland in 2007 and after several moves, we have now settled down in Kelowna. Besides having a passion for soccer, I also love to spend my time hiking, biking, skiing and playing squash.

I have over twenty-five years of experience in the kitchen industry from working for large European manufacturers, countertop companies, appliance companies and retail shops. I’ve managed kitchen dealers all over the world, and couldn’t be happier to be working at Westwood now.

What the kitchen means to me:

The kitchen is always a great place for everyone to hang out, and sometimes it seems to be the only spot you can get everyone together at one time. It’s the place where everything happens! Now that my kids are older (and apparently smarter than me), it’s tough to get them to slow down enough to check in with them, without making them something to eat.

My favourite kitchens are traditional, country-style spaces - something bright and open, with a breakfast bar or island for some extra seating.

A little more about Kent:

I’ve been married to my beautiful wife for twenty years, and we have two sons. My wife and I grew up around Alberta and have lived and worked in Edmonton, Calgary and Kelowna. We have been in Kelowna for twelve years now and we love it here. Our boys have recently graduated high school and are contemplating career and educational opportunities in the Okanagan.

I hold a commerce degree from the University of Lethbridge and a CMA\CPA designation. I worked in oil, gas and petrochemicals in Alberta and since coming to Kelowna have gained experience doing accounting for municipalities and utility companies.

What the kitchen means to me:

The kitchen is the central hub of the home where everything happens. To me, the most important thing about a kitchen is that it’s functional, efficient and welcoming.

A little more about Jeff:

I’m a Kelowna native and have lived here for most of my life. I moved to Toronto to begin my career after finishing my Engineering Degree at Lakehead University in Ontario, but then eventually migrated back to the sunny Okanagan. I now have a wonderful wife and four children who love exploring all that British Columbia has to offer.

I’ve worked in manufacturing all my life, from building trucks and busses to cars and kitchens. In the 16 years that I’ve spent at Westwood, I’ve installed just about anything imaginable and have watched as the company doubled in size.

What the kitchen means to me:

The kitchen is the heart of the home - where life truly happens. It provides the perfect space to entertain or cook together for family and friends, and who can resist the amazing smells and scrumptious dishes that are created?

I love a kitchen that is contemporary with a touch of industrial - clean lines, bright white high gloss, state of the art appliances, industrial accents and lots of counter space.

A little more about Deborah:

My family immigrated from Germany and landed in Kelowna in 1959, and the roots were planted. I was born in Kelowna and just recently returned. I have three amazing, successful, beautiful daughters and two grandchildren. Life is great living in the stunning Okanagan!

I am a huge people-person and have spent over twenty years in the human resource field in various industries. A serendipitous event occurred and the opportunity to join the Westwood team came to fruition late fall of 2017. I love the people, I love the amazing kitchens we create for our customers and I love working with people to create opportunities for them to do awesome things.

What the kitchen means to me:

Growing up my mom had a rule about all of us sitting down for dinner together as often as possible.  She would cook, we would eat and then argue about who had to clean up.  We talked about everything and we grew together as a family.  I’ve since carried on this tradition with my own family. The kitchen to me is the most important room in the house.  It’s where you come together with the people you love the most to eat, laugh, and enjoy each other’s company

I’ve always had quite modern taste with flat panel styles and clean lines.  My most recent kitchen (which I of course purchased from Westwood) is more transitional.  It’s simple and sophisticated with a more comfortable feel.

A little more about Kendra:

I was born in Penticton but moved when I was quite young to the Windermere Valley.  As a young adult I spent 13 years in Calgary working for a large retail company as a clothing buyer.  The business skills I gained were invaluable and have helped make the transition from clothing to cabinetry fairly seamlessly.
I’ve been married to my fantastic, hilarious husband for 17 years and I’m the mother of two incredible kids.  Being a mom will always be my favorite job but I’m also very passionate about creating beautiful cabinetry for our customers that will last for years to come.

What the kitchen means to me:

The kitchen is the gathering place for family and friends. Whether it’s a nightly family dinner or a large celebration with friends, everyone gravitates toward the kitchen. Why fight it? Your kitchen should be a place you don’t want to leave. My go-to kitchen style is something open and contemporary.

A little more about Dave:

I was born and raised in Vancouver, but eventually made the move to Kelowna where I now live with my wife. We have two grown boys who are now off on adventures of their own.

I have been in the cabinet industry for twenty-three years, and even owned my own business for eighteen years.

What the kitchen means to me:

The kitchen is the center of the home where memories are made. It’s an environment of learning, expressing, sharing and laughing. The kitchen is a place for creating and invention, and of bonding with family and friends and building relationships that last a lifetime.

I enjoy european-style kitchens that are very open and clean, with a low gloss finish in multiple colours.

A little more about Curtis:

I was born in Edmonton, and grew up in the Yukon, Alberta and Peachland. After high school I followed my love to create and went on to further my education in the Machinist trade. I eventually worked as the VP of Operations for an equipment manufacturer in Alberta, where I worked for eighteen years.

I now live in West Kelowna and, having always loved anything that goes fast and any physical challenge, I enjoy working in the fast-paced environment of running a factory in the kitchen industry. Ten years in the kitchen industry has opened my eyes to how valuable this are is in the family home and how important it is to deliver a quality experience to all of our customers.

I am also the proud father of two amazing sons, who (unfortunately) have the same need for speed as I do!
