What the kitchen means to me:

Growing up my mom had a rule about all of us sitting down for dinner together as often as possible.  She would cook, we would eat and then argue about who had to clean up.  We talked about everything and we grew together as a family.  I’ve since carried on this tradition with my own family. The kitchen to me is the most important room in the house.  It’s where you come together with the people you love the most to eat, laugh, and enjoy each other’s company

I’ve always had quite modern taste with flat panel styles and clean lines.  My most recent kitchen (which I of course purchased from Westwood) is more transitional.  It’s simple and sophisticated with a more comfortable feel.

A little more about Kendra:

I was born in Penticton but moved when I was quite young to the Windermere Valley.  As a young adult I spent 13 years in Calgary working for a large retail company as a clothing buyer.  The business skills I gained were invaluable and have helped make the transition from clothing to cabinetry fairly seamlessly.
I’ve been married to my fantastic, hilarious husband for 17 years and I’m the mother of two incredible kids.  Being a mom will always be my favorite job but I’m also very passionate about creating beautiful cabinetry for our customers that will last for years to come.

What the kitchen means to me:

The kitchen is the gathering place for family and friends. Whether it’s a nightly family dinner or a large celebration with friends, everyone gravitates toward the kitchen. Why fight it? Your kitchen should be a place you don’t want to leave. My go-to kitchen style is something open and contemporary.

A little more about Dave:

I was born and raised in Vancouver, but eventually made the move to Kelowna where I now live with my wife. We have two grown boys who are now off on adventures of their own.

I have been in the cabinet industry for twenty-three years, and even owned my own business for eighteen years.

What the kitchen means to me:

Most people consider the kitchen to be the heart of the home and I am no exception.  It is the one place in the home that is the starting point for almost every activity throughout the day, from the first savoured cup of coffee to the snack needed for movie night on the sofa.  If the kitchens in our homes could speak, oh, the stories they would tell.  Tales of all our highs and lows, the heartbreaks shared over a cup of tea or glass of wine, the excitement of celebrations, victories and accomplishments, the memories shared and made while cooking or baking with family members, and the comfort of preparing loved family recipes.  The kitchen not only breathes life into the house for us as the users of the space, but it also sets the direction for the style and design of the rest of the home.

A little more about Kimberly:

I spent my early years growing up in Kamloops and Vancouver, and then moved to Calgary where I spent the majority of my adult life.  I made the decision to move back to BC, to Salmon Arm, in order to be closer to my family.  I am a mother of two incredible souls who continue to teach me everyday about myself and the world around me.  I have more than 27 years of experience in customer service and spent many of those years managing retail outlets.  I made the decision to go back to school and complete a Diploma in Interior Decorating from Bow Valley College in Calgary and have spent the years since in the cabinet industry.  One of my favourite things is creating spaces that are functional yet beautiful, and that speak to my clients.
